Learning To Ride A Bike

When Dad and I were at Josh and Jaime's, he was teaching Tess how to ride her bike. What are your memories of learning to ride your bike?

  1. I was learning how to ride a bike when we were moving between Idaho and Indiana, but I wasn't getting it. Then during the first week in Indiana (in my memory it's the first day but that's probably not right), we saw all these kids riding their bikes around the neighborhood, and I wanted to join them. So I got on my bike and just took off.

Cole was so hard to teach to ride a bike, and he still doesn't like riding. Eli on the other hand was a natural. He rode without me holding onto his bike on the very first try.

  2. All I remember about riding bikes: I had a purple one. We rode our bikes everywhere, maybe everyday in the neighborhood in Indiana. There was a tree at the big grassy circle in the neighborhood that had a branch that seemed low enough to hold onto when riding under it. My goal was to grab that branch one day...never did it. But there are no memories in my brain of learning to ride.
